This book Finnish Air Force III is the third volume of a series covering the phases of the Finnish air arm. This volume deals with the first six months of the Continuation War. The focus is in Finland's attempt to take back the areas lost to the Soviet Union in the Winter War. The main text covers the build-up of the Finnish Air Force, gradual forming of the comrade-in-arms with Germany and the offensive itself. It runs on a daily basis with comprehensive victory and loss lists and quotes from both Finnish and Russian war diaries and combat reports. The book is compiled keeping those in mind who are interested in aviation history, warfare and modelling. The size of the book in A4 (210x297 mm) with laminated hard covers, 208 pages printed on glossy art paper.
The main text is fully bi-lingual in Finnish and English. Photo captions are also fully bi-lingual for 270 top quality pictures of both men and machines, supplemented by extensive appendixes of units, commanders, dislocations, operation area map and colours and markings.
